Can anyone shed some light on where in the vehicle (105 series Cruiser wagon) the keyless entry command unit is?
The reason why I ask is that my button doesn't work particularly well at all and I have to wave the button over the bonnet for it to ever work. If I have to go through that much hassle each time, I might as well put the key in the door and do it the normal way.
Anyway, my mate has a 79 series RV ute with the same buttons and his didn't work from any range either. He managed to find the aerial wire from his control box under the dash and run it up the A-pillar. He is now able to unlock and lock his truck from across the street.
Does anyone know where on a 100 series wagon the control box is located (I assume under the dash somewhere), so that I can extend my wire and increase the range.
I'd better note that the batteries on all 3 of my buttons have been replaced by Toyota and it has made no difference at all.
Cheers
Anthony.

Thanks mate.spazbot wrote:the receiver is on the passenger side, you need to remove the glove box, then inside on the left you will see the small black module that controls the keyless entry.
i can get pics if you have trouble finding it.
That's the kind of description I was after. Now I have an idea of where to begin.
I'll have a dig around and if I can't locate the unit.
Thanks mate.
Anthony.

yeah, you can remove the glove box pretty easily too, like taking the dash out is a serious mission, but if you bend it a little it wont do any damagespazbot wrote:the receiver is on the passenger side, you need to remove the glove box, then inside on the left you will see the small black module that controls the keyless entry.
