Looking to buy a county wagon

Post by baxy »

Hi Guys,
Being an avid patrol driver I am not overly familiar with the Land Rover make.
The County Wagon i am going to look at is an 85 model with i think the diesel engine (haven't seen it yet?)
Anything to look out for and are these coil or leaf sprung?
Any info would be handy
Thanks

Rust is probably your biggest problem in county's this age. Footwells at the firewall, and the bottom of the door frames are the most likely spots to check. Doors aren't such a problem as you can just replace them with newer ones from a defender....Cheers Chris.
