Hey Guys,
i have a 4speed auto out of a 98 300tdi disco sitting in my shed, is there any difference between the convertor stall speeds for the auto diesels compared to V8i's, is there anything to be gained or lost from fitting a diesel T/C to a petrol car?
cheers
Luke

V8 torque convertor VS 300TDI torque convertor

Just off the top of my head, I don't think that the bolt pattern is the same, but you'd have to confirm that.... TD5s are definitely different, as they only have 3 bolts holding the torque converter to the drive plate, but I'm not sure on 300tdis - i think they still have 4 bolts, but I suspect the spacing is different to a V8.
