well i put the gu centre strait in mine so im im assuming if one goes in one the other will go in the other one

Only real difference is that teh GU axle and housing is slightly wider. Other than that there the same center. As long as where talking H233 which is the smaller of the 2 diffs.
Not many GQ's with the H260.

But if swapping the entire housing. Then bolt in.

Flanges are different between GU and GQ.

I though all TD42`s had the same size flanges, the 3 litre ones are smaller.

Yes bolt straight in but if you are having rubbing issues on the rear now (???) you will only emphasize the problem with fitting a GU diff as they are wider

Maybe some. TD's might be the same.
When I changed my centres from two different sources I had to change the pinion flanges on both being from GQ's.
