Machined Flywheel

Post by Swerve »

Sorry about the stupid question.

Just got my flywheel back from being machined and it has alayer of oil over it from machining.

What is the best way to remove this before putting back together ?

Kero, petrol, wipe it off etc.

Best stuff i've ever used is electra-clean, pretty expensive though, bout 15-20 bucks a can from some bearing joints. takes everything off though, paint, oil, grease, melts some plastics... Just dont spray it on seals or o-rings!!
