Hey All
Missus will be popping out our first edition to the family in January. It has just occured to me that the child anchor points are covered over with my cargo unit in the rear!
Has anyone fitted their own anchor point? I am a fitter by trade and are confiddent with my ability to secure it to some where appropriate, but am concerned about legalities.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Child seat anchors in GU
Re: Child seat anchors in GU
there is a special ADR Approved bar you can get fitted - call some of the bigger baby places, they can put you in touch wiht the right people.
With my drawer system, it finished about level with the end of the high tensile attachment point, which meant you can't clip/unclip the restraint when needing to move it from car to car. So i just raised the drawers clipped on one of the approved extension straps (can get them in a couple of different lengths) and clip the car retraint to this. Then secured the drawers again. I just leave the extension perm attached. Some mods to drawer so the extension strap came up behind the seat at the correct angle, there is no rubbing on the webbing.
Another thought i had when i first noticed this was to get a longer attatchment point made to run under the drawers and finish were it could be accessed. An extension of approx 1-2cm.
Hope this is of use.
Cheers Matt
