decisions, help!

Post by slowLux »

Well im in bit of a dilemma. Lately ive been thinking that i would quit like vitara zook or an early jimny. This would require me selling my beloved GQ diesel shorty. My reason for this being, im sick of driving a truck everywhere. Car has done 345 thou, but engine/gearbox everything its still strong as, blows no smoke whatsoever. But, it does need probly around 2-3 grand to get up to the way i want it, and i plan on selling it in a year or so anyway before the kilometres really start getting high. For the type of driving we do its great considering its totally stock except some maxxis muds, except in sand. I'd like a zook just for something new, and something a bit smaller/lighter to drive around in. I have a few questions, whats fuel economy like for a zook, im fairly pleased with my td42's consumption. Im assuming a zook would use less fuel? and what kinda kilometres can the engines clock up?

I love my shorty i really do, its just yeh..let me know any thoughts you have!

thanks!

zook 10L to 100k's roughly. add a webber cam and exhaust and your probably looking around 13L to 100k's or more.
the vit motor (1.6) uses a tiny bit more then the 1.3 but realisticly, I am getting more k's out of a 40ltr tank with my 1.6 then when I had a 1.3,
I am guessing slightly more power so I dont have to rev it as hard,

opening can of woopass now

have you thought of a feroza or a rocky or or other small 4by's,
or do you want a suzuki?
you will probably pay more for a slightly bigger 4by though
I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.

nah havent thought about anything else small besides a zook really. My mates (atari4x4 on here i think) has got a hotted up j20 i think it is so seeing that thing always makes me want a zook, Then i saw a jimny the other day that i dunno how but had 33's on it. Looked fuckin rad, now i want one lol

IM still unsre what to do :bad-words:

Though rockys are a tad more expensive arent they?

Zooks are a nice cheap four wheel drive, and they are small and easy to park if you daily drive it. They are one of the unsafest cars on the road though for the occupant in a crash, and you cant leave anything in em as theyre easily broken into.
But, they have good fuel economy, and parts are so damn cheap for em.

a rocky is more truck like than your GQ... but a feroza wouldnt be a bad option.

my mate has a sierra that has 358k on the clock and the engine is still going very very strong... if it hadnt been rolled it would still be on the road now.

a jimny would be good, its a sierra but with a newer(uglier) body, and more mod cons.
