Starting the XJ mods, Lift !!!
Well I've sold the Vitara now and own the jeep outright so it's time to start pimping my ride. For the first lot I've got $5000 to spend but am trying to stretch it as far as I can. I have prioritised what I need and want but am after some advice on which way to lift it. I'e done heaps of searching over the last couple of months but havn't found what im after yet.
Anyway first I'm planning to do Duel Batteries under the bonnet as I need them for the Fridge and worklights when camping. I'm also planning on putting in one of the JVC Exad DVD head units and the remote face UHF.
My main priority is the lift though and am thinking of going with the 4.5" Rubicon Express with full leave packs from Wooders. From all reports his great to deal with and his been good with advice so far. It's going to cost $3150 with the SYE, New Leaf packs, OME shocks and Shims delivered to my place in Perth. Does this sound alright? I can get 32"s on and 33"s on with a bit of trimming which is what i'll probally do.
My other option is to go with a Trailmaster 4" from 4x4USA over hear in Perth. That's going to be $2000 fitted but is a budget lift compred to the R.E. It only had add-a-leafs and no SYE because it's not high enough to need one. I can only get 31"s on with this but with the extra beans i can get the Winch bar or a front locker. I'm a bit suss about how good this lift will be so i don't think i'll go for it.
Does anyone have either of these lifts and was it worth the money?
Also, does anyone have a pic of a car with this lift in it? I just want to make sure first.
Thanks in advance for advice, I just want to make sure i do the right thing first.

Hi rosie.
I can get you all the bits you need. I can get a 4' lift which we have in our own vehicle, which rides great! Can send pics, just forward me your email address.
Kit costs around $1600-$1700, plus freight. If u want to put 33's on it u will need the bushwacker flares available thru us, but this involves cutting alot of your body panel. Unless you know what ur doing, it might be best to speak to a panel shop first. Please do not hesitate to give jamie a call on 03 9762 2600, or email mail@allranges4wdservices.com. Can freight anwhere in Australia.

4" does really need an SYE and 33's do really need the diffs regeared and more than a bit of trimming. I have 32's on a 4.5"-5" lift and the guards needed trimming before I could even reverse out oif the garage, but the flares still cover the tyre with the right wheel offset.
My lift is not a RE packaged lift but I have an RE leaf pack, RE Superflex control arms (mandatory for good flex and so you can adjust the death wobble out of it) and the SYE, all from Wooders. My front coils are custom jobs and the shocks are long travel OME.
What you cant see is the inside of the stock flares are trimmed and the inner guard lining is gone along with a decent chunk of the metal guard at the rear behind the flare.
Here you can see the tyre was still catching at the front of the guard even after some trimming, I've done some more since then. A stock front bar makes it a lot worse, even my 31's rubbed on that badly.
Cheers

Not to go too far off topic but I think the stuffed tcase let it pop out of gear fall backwards and bust an axle :( Not sure how long the tcase has been on its way out but now it makes a nasty thump and wont stay in 4WD at all. I so wanted an Atlas but money is tight after a few other purchases so it's a low mileage NP242 from a stocker (45,000km roughly). I might have a look at rebuilding the stuffed one with some of the guts from the NP242HD (Hummer box)
