Fuel Guages Wires ? WTF ???

Post by CWBYUP »

So I was cleaning the back of the GQ LWB out today and thought I'd take the sender cover plate off to see how dirty it was and what I was going to need to do to change it ( fuel guage not working ).

What I found was somewhere over the course of its life the wires have been broken off about 6 inches from the sender.

The problem is I cant find where the broke from or where they run further up so I can rejoin them.

Has anyone got any ideas ? Fire wall ? Under Passanger seat ?

Any help would be greatly apprceiated.

Cheers Nick

Pretty sure that fuel gauge loom joins to another wiring loom on top of the pass side chassis rail--look through the back wheel arch, and you should be able to see the loom.

Is this the same loom that comes up under the passanger side floor ?
