Ute Tray Question.

Post by Tommy »

Just wondering if anyone knows if a Cruiser ally tray will fit on to a GU Patrol ute with out too much messing around.

At a quick glance i think all thats involved is changing the mounting points because the width is roughly the same.

Length is no issue as im going to cut it down anyways, but if any one has an idea or even the measurements of there tray, width ways, that would help out heaps. Thanks!

mate if your going to cut and shut the tray, a few extra mounts won't really hurt to play around with if your getting the tray for the right price :D

Yeah thats true in the long run, but for now i was just planning to get it on the back so i can sort out my suspensions set up.

I have leaf springs in the rear and my carrying weight plays a huge part in the leaf packs.

So my plan was to swap it for the factory, 5 tonne steel one, and cut it down after i have done the lift. From there i can get the muddies under her and play with approach/departure angles.

To buy a new one the quotes range from $2500 - $2700 which is to much to pay when im just going to cut it any way. So i saw this ally cruiser tray at a wreckers for cheap which got me thinking.....
