Hello Everyone,

Well with only days to go before Round 3 of the Qld Winch Challenge we have a special message from the competition manger.
As most of you all know, this round will be the final round of the qld winch as a three round series, we have some huge changes in store for next years competition, which will be changing it's format to a once a year 4 day event. Round 3 will be the perfect opportunity for you to see just how these changes will affect the competition, as it will be running in the proposed format.

Racing starts Friday night, with the tracks being run opposite The Gums camping ground which is also where Qld Winch base camp will be.
Saturda's stages are being run off Yelbourn Rd, and Saturday nights presentation dinner and RFDS raffle are being held at base camp, The Gums camping grounds in the big yellow & green tents. For anyone who hasn't attended a Qld Winch dinner, you have been missing out, the theme for the night is RFDS recipient, get dressed up as what you believe a RFDS recipient to be, and use your imagination, it's all for a good cause and will be alot of fun. As this will be our final raffle for the rfds we really would like to make it big, So anyone wanting to donate items for the raffle please bring them along.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
See you all there.

Message from Lance:

Round three of the QWC is our opportunity to show case what we are doing and where we are going for next year. Real racing is when you have a truck beside you, round three of the QWC you will, every track every time.

The rules are easy to follow,

1/only pass on the right.

2/ slower truck gives way.

Winch hills are separated for safety, although close enough to keep it fair.

Our intention is to provide tracks to use the horse power that is out there and the technical and tactical advancements in vehicle recovery systems that seem to have no limits.

If you have thought a “winch challengeâ€

That sounds great Lance. That is something that I would certainly love to be doing with my truck, after all, that is what it is built for and where the money is going. I hope it all is going well and works for next year too. Sorry I couldn't be there, baby classes have to come first. Keep the feedback coming and the pics. For the competitors, GET FAIR UP IT.
