suspension lifts
good news I have got a new job which means i dont have to sell my mighty feroza, I was wondering what is the cheapest way to get a 2" suspension lift to my wide track, I have no experience with cars so am looking for someone to do it, does anyone know what is the best way and who are reputable businesses in Brisbane to do this, thanks
I am going to double island point in three weeks with my mates (one of which has a brand new turbo diesel patrol ute) and would like my suspension lift done by then, another question is after that i am thinking of getting a 2" body lift, hoiw much do they usually cost do to
thanks fellas I am new to modifying my fourby and need all the help I can get
here is a picture of my beast

have hundreds of mods planned by the year 2020
first things first... lose the hub caps! on purpose! take em off an store em.. or u will REALLY lose em.... second of all.. i would reconmend takin that runnin board off... it MIGHT cause a problem with flexing an so on. i could be wrong though... u can always go with the tubbed running boards (sidesteps as us americans like to call em), i think they look better, they're neater, they can tuck in nicely an they're out of the way... jus my 2 cents worth...

I know you didn't ask this but if your going up to Double Island then you have to check out a couple of tracks nearby if you get the chance. Inskip Point is up past the Cherry Venture ship wreck, turn left through the cutting (second gear low-range is best approx 3500rpm will see you through the soft sand) out onto Rainbow Beach (soft sand onto the beach again+ make sure its low tide when you do this bit as there are some rocks near the town that end up submerged at high tide(along with your fourby)) carry on left up the beach to Rainbow Beach town then follow the signs right to Inskip. In my oppinion Inskip is a much better camping spot (with toilets) 'cos you get the sun 'till sunset (D I its gone behind the dunes by 3.30 ish)
There are some good inland tracks. Just before the Cherry Venture is Fresh Water track ( http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/publications?id=96 and click on the pdf file for a map) which winds its way through rain forest and out onto the main Gympie to Rainbow Beach road. Check out the map for more tracks in the Cooloola park 'cos there are a heap of good, easy to medium tracks.
Cheapest way too get 2inch lift is wind up your front torsion bars and then get your rear leaf springs re-set to give 2inches off extra height OR make up a set of extended shackles (4 inches longer between pin centres to get your 2inches of lift)
Hope this helps.
p.s never lost my hubcaps either

I would agree, Inskip Point is much better than Double Island. We are going up there this weekend for a few days, I am going to try out my new car.

Certainly not recommended for someone who is not into modifying their rig themselves, and also illegal, creates a lot of other misalignment problems in the process.
TJM do make quite a good kit, if drive in-drive out type fitment is what you are after - what part of SEQ are you in? I would highly recommend Redlands 4wd centre for quality workmanship.
Built, not bought.

Before I decided to sell my feroza I was lookin at the drive in drive out type deals about and found they were more drive in empty your bank acc then drive out
If $$$ are an issue I'd go about 1.5 inch lift now with reset springs and cranked frustration bars then if you want to fit bigger tyres later do a 2" cab lift as well I recall you're a uni student like me so think $ are an issue, is for me at times
My feroza was a ripper on the beach, just sucked in the bush
Take the roof off
