1HD-FT down on boost lacking grunt

Post by lokka »

Gday all im askin this question for my oldman his cruiser has a drama it hasnt got good boost till the revs are up over 2k and the big bitch wont pull up hills anygood its an auto and il high range its a slow crawl up a 10fott high 45degree slope from a standing start tho it improves in low range with more revs im thinking maby a fuel restriction by way of crap in a filter ive been told maby the inline filter in the pump under the fuel inlet may be blocked and this causing fuel delivery probs any input would be great guys thanks
Cheers

laks of boost of lacks of diesel .. did you have pyro and boost gauge ?

Check all your turbo hoses .. just to verify all are tight .. change your air filter and fuel filter and try.

Has this behaviour just started, or has it always been slack under 2k rpm (as this was very common)? Visit http://www.lcool.org/technical/80_serie ... p_adj.html for some info for altering the aneroid.

Otherwise check the usual fuel and air filters, make sure the thing is in good nick. Then start looking at injection pump...
