i checked the bible but nothing...
i need this fixed for road worthy next week. when i turn my lights on the brake light lights up(brighter) and when i brake the normal light comes on(softer). this problem is in the rear left tail light section only if that makes sense. so where are the controlls for these brake and light coz all i have to do is swap them over but cant find them.
ill re word that a bit better, basically the brake light is wired to the night light and the night light is wired to the brake. i need to swap them.

Check your globe is in the socket the right way, the globes run dual filaments, and if you get them in backwards (they do have tabs to stop it, but you can wear the holders or bend them) it will opperate backwards.

Mine does this on the LHS, Even when I swap the globes around, I believe its to do with the calapsed and corroded globe sockets. Not to mention the abismal wiring in the rear end. SOmeone said to me It could be an earrthing issue too. I would try to fix it, but last time I tried my reversing lights stopped working.
Ultimatly I will be replacing my rear bumper with a solid steel one and replace the entire light assembly with sealed LED lights; no annoying globes that way. Going to cost a bit for the LEDs (particulalry the reversers), however it will be worth it in my opinion.
