Ok so on my 92 mav TB42 with factory 3.9's and 33 Mtr's it sits at 2200rpm at 100klms. With changing to 4.6 diffs , can anyone tell me what revs theirs sits on at 100 klms also was it a big difference in power etc at that speed... Wanting to go 35's soon but not if it is slower again. Cos its has bucket loads down low but after fitting the gas it is even worse on the highway ??? Also will all I need is the diff centres? are all the driveshaft diametres the same between models???

Thanks

sitting on 100k im doing about 2400-2450rpm in mine.. im happy with it..
it doesnt use too much fuel at 100k.
but when you get to 110-120k it starts to increase considerably over a long distance.
at 100 i have had it down to 16L per 100
and thats a 4.5 petrol fully loaded

So basically it would be just like driving in 4th gear on the highway as that sits at about 2400-2500 rpm ????

at 100 i do around the 2200 mark, in my td42, and on my to work and back run ive been getting around 11.4L/100km, so nerr :P
with the 35's same journey i was getting 12.5.
with 35's pulling a boat and a fully laden ute to sydney i was getting 13 at worst.

its just ridiculously slow. better now im on 31's, but i hate the revs at 110, (2500) i rarely go over 105.

diffs will be fine..

need to pull out the diff centre and then remesh the new crown wheel and pinion with the correct backlash...

not a cheap exercise
