External trans coolers or use the rad on 80 series?

Post by Surfin Alec »

Hi all,

I just installed a new radiator on my 80 (97 TD Auto) as the old one was clogged as. The previous owner removed the trans oil lines from the radiator and installed a 2nd trans cooler our front (about 1/2 the size of the factory job).

Now should I re-install the plumbing through the radiator or leave it as is or I was thinking maybe factory cooler, radiator, extra cooler.

Does anyone know how the factory flow goes and what side of the radiator the auto fluid goes in / out.

Thanks,

Alec
