i have no idea what the award was for
but aaron, bobby and amy all died in a car crashes a few months ago. all three were between 19 and 20 and great people, local to me they all went to my school.
Aaron worked at Marks 4wd adapotrs and did the vic winch last year with Ant Kilner, great character and a good 4x4er always keen to help out and have a good time... been out wheeling with him a few times and was willing to have a crack at anything!!
had a nice SWB patrol to.
RIP.

also the award was like an encouragement award type deal they won it because they had pretty hard weekend and still made one hell of a go of it.
Just one example was on sat they broke nearly every tooth out of the diff centre and travelled back to melbourne for another one.
It was decided by people putting in who they thought should win it.

There seemed to be a few faily proffesional looking photographers out there on the weekend. I wonder where all there pics are? Does the ccda website normally post up albums of there events but there is nothing there. Too busy driving than taking pics. I think everyone got to hold my camera bag but nooone used it. Damme!

Tee Jay,

After a few years of following my hubby around to these events I have learnt a thing or two about this side of things.

The CCDA seem to rely on others posting up photos. Keep an eye on Holeshot Images website ( www.holeshotimages.com.au) and the photos will eventually make it. You may like to try Offroad Images website also if they were there (www.offroadimages.com.au). It does take a while for the galleries to be loaded.

Hi all, I want to add my thanks to marshals, competitors and the organisers for running a hot dusty weekend. We had a ball! :D

AJ, Aaron, worked for Marks Adaptors in sales and with very little notice jumped into the Datto for last years Vic Winch. Our winching and driving practice included a session down at the local railway station a week prior to the event. We both went in woefully unprepared yet we had a ball. I mention this because AJ's award lovingly crafted by the folks at Marks symbolises what AJ was about, living life and having some fun with it. I add my congrats to Suzuki Boy (Lewsi) who won the award. My thoughts go out to all families and friends who have been affected by this tragic event.

On a slightly lighter note, I have some images loaded on my website at www.antefiction.com.au. There are other images available as in multiple shots of certain fourbys which haven't been loaded.

Stay safe and enjoy the bush!
