Not possible to engineer in beautiful sunny Qld - or anywhere in Australia once the new National Code of Practice for Light Vehicles (NCOP) is introduced / enforced.

The NCOP should free up our regulations in Qld but even under the new NCOP the maximum overall lift will be 6" with engineers approval (inc lane change teste, brake tests etc.)

Max tyre size will be 50mm bigger than tyre placard for that vehicle.

Geeez who even does a nine inch suspension kit for one!
Are you sure it is not nine inches in total?
2" Bodylift
3.5" with the tyres
4" Suspension lift
Equals total nine inch lift.
Sounds a lot more feasable then 9" suspension only.
You would need to use barn doors as castor correction plates!

I know of a set of ten inch springs that were bad as a 1 off for a shop in sydney years ago. they got trimmed down a touch for use as the car sat to tall when installed  do know how they didn't work that out earlier though :?

from all accounts you will even struggle getting 35s legal in QLD

Also didn't you think to investigate the legalities of the vehicle before buying it? If you bought it in QLD then you would either have bought it unregoed and no rwc or if it came with them I'd be going back to the seller and demanding they do something about it as they have sold you an illegal vehicle on dodgy papers.

If you bought it interstate did it come with any engineers reports etc?

And did you really think that 11" of lift was a good thing?

It will never get engineered!

It seems pretty close to what he has specified, altho 1 persons 9inch spring might be anothers 7inch etc etc depending on manufacturer and how firm / soft.

I had a look at pics of my old Mav when it was running 8inch springs + 3inch body for the 40inch swampers, and its looks pretty close looking at tyre to guard clearance.
Although I do notice he still has standard suspension arms.
If you continue to run this setup (offroad) you will need beefed and longer suspension arms front and back, otherwise you dont get enough travel and it will drive like shit.

And to all those saying it will flop on a gutter.....you'd be surprised how many rigs over the yrs have had similiar setups and been as stable as some 4inch lifts.

If that's 9 inch's im John howard with a 12 in C**K poking president BUSH in the you know where?
Most guys know that a factory bump stop on Gq's is 60-65mm mm approx so i would suggest you measure you bumpstop. I would guess about 6 inch as daz4b stated :finger:

That thing is up near noosa and was for sale on ebay not that long ago..

As for engineering or mod plates, I was told that the reason they can't do it is that there is no mod plate suspension code in Qld unlike engine conversions etc
