75s disc brake rear housing - rims, 80s hubs, std axles?

I'm looking at putting a late model 75 series disk brake rear housing under my HJ75 (retaining my diff center) and have a few questions;

Does the 75 use the same calipers as 80s?

Will 15" rims fit with either 75 or 80 calipers (if not the same). I'm running 15x10 Dynamic sunnies - standard backspacing.

I'm told 80 series hubs will fit, giving a small track increase (~25mm each side) - can someone confirm this?

Can i use my standard HJ75 (drum rear) inner axles, or would i have to use later model inner axles? Will standard 75 axles (either disk or drum) work with the 80s hubs? And if i do use later model axles, will they suit the original (HJ75) center?

Will i have any other problem putting the disk brake rear under my HJ75 - i already run an 80s master cylinder.

Hope someone can clear this up. Disk brakes + extra track FTW!

Thanks grubb - i assume you just used a later model handbrake cable or did the original work? Do you run 15" rims?

As for the other questions - surely i'm not the first one doing this?

I am guessing he would have needed the later handbrake cable, from memory the hand brake on the drum goes into each drup up front. A troupy handbrake will be longer than an 80 series, you better start looking for one, as they are not cheap....alternately, a rally hydraulic setup would be nice but illegal
The axles are all thesame, you will be able to use your axles with a disc rear end diff housing, only the backing plate mounts are different for the new handbrake. Same with diff centre, bolts straight in, so will an 80 one...
Once you have the 75 rear disc end in, you can put 80 series hubs/handbrake setup in as a whole unit...the 80 hub has its flange 30mm further out, and the disc is therefore 30mm deeper....and your track will increase by 60mm...the callipers from 75 disc to 100 are all thesame on the rear....only the spacing and depth of backing plate is different...if you use early 80 series rear setup, they ran 15's, if you use later, they ran 16's but the calliper can be ground to clear....the disc is larger, so u get better stopping.

So my shopping list should include:

Bare disc brake rear housing
80s backing plate
Late model 80s caliper (or 75 or 100?)
80s disks
80s hubs

That's the obvious stuff, but do i use 80s or HJ75 or HZJ75 spindle (or is it part of the housing? I don't remember exactly how it all comes apart.)? 80s or 75s hub kit (bearings/seals)? Will i need new locking nut/plate, or can i carry over the drum brake one?

Should i chuck my brake proportioning valve whilst i'm at it?
