Whats this cable called? And where can i get one?

Post by dirtfix »

Hey all. I have a 1986 Hilux single cab YN 67 and am looking for a replacement cable for the idle adjuster knob, well i think thats what its called :?: . It attaches to the accelerator assembly above the pedal. It looks to me that it basically pulls the pedal down for you as you wind it on. Mine has snapped and it has caused a bit of slop in the pdal tension itself, also, it would be a good tool for low speed crawling but mine has never worked since i have owned the car. I only realised it when i changed the accelerator cable thinking it was the cause of the slop, only it didnt help at all so on closer inspection i found this. Can anyone tell me where i might find one of these cables?
