Has anyone ever seen this conversion before?
Has anyone ever seen this conversion before?
Is anyone bidding on this?

How hard would the conversion be (conversion plate, for the gearbox) and why would you do it over a GTI head.
But it looks very cool and would sound awesome

4a-ge Motors from the SX and GTi corolla's made 100kw from memory, and have a broader torque spread compared the the GTi head mod (i think
)

The question should be why would you do a GTI head conversion when the stock Vit 1.6 16v sohc head flows more.Toecutta wrote:why would you do it over a GTI head.

4age's come in either 100kw or 86kw. They also have bigport or smallport heads. They are a very nice engine and pretty easy to work on. I rebuilt the one in my old zook in a couple of days and that was not hurried.
The big problem in putting them in a sierra is the longer toyota rwd gearbox which necessitates the shortening of the sierra jackshaft. Other than that they are a great conversion and I would recommend it to anyone. They dont have alot of torque but that is offset by the high redline. These motors love to rev.
Having said that, I am going to go with either a vit or baleno motor next time as I want to keep mine all zook and I believe they make an easier conversion..
