GQs with V8s - fuel economy
Hey.
Posting for a mate.
He's looking into buying a GQ with a V8 but wants to know how many ks people are getting from standard fuel tanks.
Please state if u are auto or manual and shorty or wagon, and what size rubber.
Cheers

What motor is he thinking about?
I get about 200 to 250k's from 65l, with 35 Simex, MWB, trayback, manual shift auto. But that is a turboed 4.5l V8 running avgas. It does go a lot better than standard though! ie 280rwkw.

93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)
Obviously it varies a lot from engine to engine, driver to driver and vehicle weight but mostly I hear of figures around 20L per 100k +/- 3L per 100k, not a lot different from the origional engines but with more power.
