Hey -

Bit more info required. How much is it loosing and how often need filling... Do you need to top up radiator or remote resivour...(sp)

It can either go

- Leak, hot coolant is quite easy to smell, look for drips and also check hoses to rear heater if you have one.

- into Oil, water in the oil - can usually tell, a sludge will form on the underside of the oil fill cap... Head gasket or head

- out exhaust, steams more than normal... Heaad gasket or head. Can test for this

Bubble's in coolant when it is running - head gasket. Can test for this.

Try replacing radiator cap.

yes seems to be bubbles, appearing in radiator when running. Losing coolant bout 500mls couple of days??
Would i be close in saying Head Gasket?

I have the same problem but i am loosing approx 1lt every couple of days with no sign of any visable leaks. It is going in this Friday to access the problem. I have heard a number of things from different mechanics.

It may be leaking air and liquid is overflowing through overflow tank while running.
It may be a seal near the exhaust outlets and that is why you cannot find any liquid lying around. As it leaks on the exhaust it evapourates.

If you still having trouble by Saturday i will post reply on findings.

Cheers

Had a leak from the waterpump at about 220000km, but it took me about 50000km to find. Would just use a small amount of water but would never leak when pressure tested either hot or cold (or so I thought).

When cold I would drive it about 10m out of the carport to the shed (where the tools are) and that was enough to seal the leak.

Eventually I just happened to pressure test in the carport and viola, there it was.
