Was an awesome weekend. had a blast. snorting smooth, who would have thought...

The courses were awesome. There was one that only 1 team finished, and the bonuses allowed for some pretty crazy drives. Alot of banged up buggies to be fixed over the summer.

awesome weekend... weather was great, courses were technical and challenging, and once again the OZ Rock crew put on a great show!

Pete and Taz were stand outs all weekend... we had a shocker on Saturday with a roll (DNF) and pointed out another course, finishing the day in 5th. Got it together on Sunday though to claw back to 2nd.

A couple (few??) busted wheels, a busted rear pinion yolk and u-bolts, some more tactical bends in the cage... tuff weekend, and some work to do before next season!

Big thanks to everyone who turned out to support the event. I'm sure you all enjoyed what was a couple of cracking days.

I've got some video, and will post up when I get a chance to edit it together.

here,s something you dont expect ...........................
end of saturdays comp , it was

1st Bally & Tazz
2nd Smooth & Sam
3rd Cramp & Gayden
4th (wait for it !!) Rob & Moose !!!

scariest bit ..... Rob was the only buggy to not have rolled yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

he made up for it on sunday !!
big double roll , back onto his (very bent) wheels , back into trying the same climb again !!

lots of carnage over the week end !!!
Bally snapped a rear link mount , which in turn snapped the lower shaft on 1 of the bling shocks !!
Gonads rolled , fire - burnt out wiring , came back on sunday , no 1st gear , big roll off the "Shute" !!
Rob , bent rims , lots of rock rash , cracked front radiator .
Shane , big roll , roof panel , split a rim , tailshaft .
Napsta , swivel bearing bolts & not sure what else !
Crampy , 1 rim & tyre , possibly front inner axle , stinger bar got snapped off , bonnett & scratched smooths brand new borrowed rim !!
:?
Kane & dan , dan tryed to crush his hand , when he lifted a rock , slipped & dropped rock onto his fingers !! OUCH !! :?
Smooth did some minor stuff !!
but an awesome week end , bit dusty , but well done to Cheezy & Sharon !!

Congrats to Pete & Tazz (unlimited) & Dave & Hayden (promod) for the series wins !!

2008 dates soon !!!! :D

Something in the front D60 went BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!
the joint was still turning, well so Hayden said.
Also killed a rim I think, got a fluid penalty when he wet himself, opps I mean the ground.
Basicly this weekend Dave spent more time trying to drive the stages while either on his roof or side :D

WTF did you break this time?
He broke the front outer stub on the front tore 2 tyres damaged His wheel plus Smooooth,s spare, broke the stinger off smashed bonnet, bent the high steer arm drivers side.

Was very surprised to see 2 trucks with what you would think had the strongest diffs both broke stuff where others with the weaker diffs drove the same stuff without braking,

Was an awsum weekend was good to go out on a high point with a Win In promod and third overall.Would like to thank all the organisers and officials for an awsum year and also the competitors for making such a good fun year. Good luck to all the teams next year.

The fuel line came off the pump inside the fuel tank.

Thanks guys and girls for a very enjoyable weekend ,besides the council probs(fire requirements) permits, but lm gunna address that ASAP. l belive that everyone who attends our events help us realise that our sport definately has a future which is why we endevor to keep trying to improve the way we do things. Its a real pitty that rockcrawling in Aus is at that real difficult stage, were its nearly there but in a mainstream motorsport sense it is not quite .
We all have to do what we can to promote this sport or it may end up remaining what it is now. It has a real future but without everyones ideas and support it will remain out in the bush due to lack of available funds to promote it in the city/metropolition areas(the Masses).

l would like to thank all the teams both drivers and spotters , a real big thankyou to all the people that help, most importantly our valued Marshals and support crews in besty (first aid), Bob Way (saftey) and those people that have traveled without haste just to be there for our comps to happen (Pete Webb ,Matt Lukins,Nam,Michelle,Kenny,Ralph,Bob,Brett,) Guts (tracks) Cheers. As well as all of our supporters and sponsors which without them it would make the series very difficult to run ,l thank you all.
But most importantly all the comps this year were put together due to the vision of Mark(CHEEZY) and his lovely wife Sharon, from cheezy Racing.Without there commitment these events just would not exist at all , so from all the teams we thank you.
The teams are doing there utmost to put on a show and drive to the best of there abilititys which l belive is VERY VERY high in the world scheme,so l couldnt ask for more there :D .
O.K can someone tell me were all the smooth went only cause i cant remember, l hope everyone got there fair share(especially the imports   ) please note my blood alcohol levels are now 90-10 as apossed to 50-50 which is a reaaaaaal good thing. l hope everyone is able to fix there repairs . We at Ozrock will do what we can to ensure it continues but ,it will take some serious homework to get it right for next year. have a great Christmas (hope santa has a parts shop)and a Happy New Year , be safe . Catch ya's Webbie,GEEET EEERT OWWNNNNNNNNN
