He's done a 2" body lift so far... But he still needs to raise the bumper to be able to turn and he's going to do a 2" suspension lift as soon as the parts come in...
Yeah, the widetrack is awesome hey... makes my rocky look very tall and narrow.
The track is nothing special at all, just up the road from my place (in sydney)

I couldn't really compare the 2 roza's but at some point we could compare between wide track roza and my rocky... Would be interesting for me to know as well.
But you should be able to find that info out somewhere if you google for the specs of both of them, I'll take a quick look to see if I can't find something!

yeh as 4runner said i have done a 50mm BL and just had to put the tyres on to see how they look.
atm im wating on suspension parts and finding someone to weld me some new brackets to lift at least the front bumper so i can actually turn those wheels. Yes they are 31x10.5x15 on some nicely offset rims......
when it stops raining i will measure from hub to hub and let you know but it is looking much much wider wiht the new rims on it......
as a consequence of this i am in the process of adding an extra flare to the already flared gaurds just to cover them up a bit and keep the plod happy.
i will take some photos of what im talking about once its done

attack the bumper overriders with the grinder ... that will help with the rubbing, takes a few secs and it easy to do ... have a look at one of my pic and you can see what ive done, by roulding off the bottom i stopped my old 31x10.5x15's from rubbing
btw I found with 31's on mine it was gutless as hell and very very VERY skittery on loose metal roads,

yeh there are a few small tracks around here which are really tame and i was just trying out the new car the second day i had it....
once the sus lift is done i will be trying the bigger stuff around here and then heading somewhere like wattagans forest (or however u spell it)
just a pick of all the tyres on:
and this shows how the tyres now jut out from the already wide flares:
im not supprised its gutless but since it is only going to be used for some 4x4 fun im not too worried

Have to disagree a bit there - the suspensions basically the same, all that changed is the chassis got spread out at the front. Unfortunately when they get into a decent front impact or worked really hard the point where the chassis spreads is also the point where they bend. Narrows don't do this.ferozamaniac wrote:Damn widetruck Ferozas are the best by far.
Its a bugger - if Daihatsu had have done it properly they could have put longer front wishbones etc in and got much more front suspension travel.
So If your serious - start with a narrow track and widen it, you get the little bit of extra stability of the wide track but more importantly you get more suspension travel which really matters.
If you start with a widetrack there's no obvious answer to the suspension issue without very significant surgery.
( usual disclaimers )
It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
