Just a quick questions how do I go about replacing a broken rear wheel stud on a FJ73 ? Can it be done without removing the whole hub/axel etc as in my manual

No, you will need to remove the hub because the backing plate will be in the road of the stud coming out the back. Unless someone knows a trick to get the stud past the backing plate.
