guards are pretty big. underneath all this writing check out my ute build. (link) i bought it virtually how it is and thats 2in body lift, sagged 4in suspension with 35's and u can see the room in the guards.

my dad has a standard height patrol with 33's and they dont scrub, so i reckon 2in suspension lift would be adequate.

note...there is also a pic of my ute with 38's on it if that helps put it into persepctive.

4 inch coils, drop boxes and all the goodies to make it drive better than factory.
Or you can do it cheap and it will drive like shit.

You can fit brand new 36" swampers with a four inch lift with no scrubbing so I would be willing to try a 2" lift with the front diff spaced forward 15mm. GUs have big wheelarches and it's usually the rear wheel that is the problem. I would think a 35 MTR would definitely fit with a 3" lift but personally, I would try the 2 first. I have a mate that has just bought a GU ute who has ordered 2" springs and 30mm coil spacers and wants to fit 35s so if you don't want to do it straight away you might get a more definite answer.

mate runs 37" krawlers with little scrubing on a 4" lift.

my gq has 2" body and runs 35" mtrs with no scrubing on guards, only the back of the front bar.
cheers Pete.

Just a thought we could try the 35's on mine if you want then you know they'll fit.....and if they do I'm not given em back!
