VDO guages changing globes

Hi has anyone changed the globes in a VDO pyro or boost?

I would like to put in a blue led/globe what can be done.

any have any experience with this?

I've got both gauges, and I've put the little blue covers on the globes in the kit. I think they were Narva globe covers. Let me know if you work out a way of getting LED's in there!

thanks for that might just do the globes but will try for the LED's and if i have any success will let you know.

I reckon the problem you will face with the LEDs is that you won't get the spread of light in the gauge.

One problem I have found is that the gauges can use different size globes, and even though you can get the covers for all, they won't look the same blue colour, the smaller ones tend to look more green/aqua.

Just some thoughts on my current gauges and lights.

I went the red covers on mine - gave a night glow without annoying you at night since mine were in a dashpod.
