New Hilux Aux batt. tray

Post by Harrow »

Hey here is my problem my boss wants a Dual batt. system in his new Hilux but where the Piranha batt. tray sits is the top right of the engine bay!! But that is where we have just mounted his compressor, isolation switch, relays and other goodies. so we are looking for a tray for the bottom left of the engine bay anyone know where i can get one of these???

This picture might help you understand what i want!

Any of the 5 million 2Wd or 4WD Hilux/Surf/4runners around the world.

Its not just a tray, as the tray sits on top of a shaped metal bracket welded to the inner guard. The tray is a plastic thing under the battery on top of the bracket to catch fluid and direct it out of the engine bay via a plastic tube.

You will need to drill it out of a second hand or used vehicle or you might be able to get the parts new from a TMCA parts dealer.

Have you seen all the room in the V6 engine bay??
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.

That's OK, actually a bit harsh on you.

A long as it isn't destroyed for the customer and they get what they need.

Cheers!

i'd say not mate as on the diesel the air cleaner is different and it goes where you want to put your battery, so i guess they just make a universal tray to suit ulp or diesel models may have to make a custom one up
