Driveline Vibrations

Post by Bajan Tim »

I have a 98 coily and i'm running a leafy transfercase with trail tough 4.9:1 gears. Recently i have been getting some pretty strong vibrations which i have narrowed down to the prop shaft that goes fron the gearbox to the transfer case.

I have checked the unis and the seem to be ok, some one mentioned that it could be a case of the transfercase mounts growing weak and streching. Could this be the case or should i check else where?

u obviously had the transer out, did u pull the splines of the tail shaft? if ya did make sure ur arrows line up on the slip and spline, its more than likley out of phase, also check for busted mounts.
