Snorkel hose?

Post by matta »

Just fitted a Rangie Spares Snorkel to my 77 and am planning on running a direct feed hose to the horn on my air box. My question is where is the best place to buy some hose that is heat resistant. Needs to be 3 inch at snorkel end then I'll fit a reducer at the air box. Location SE QLD.

I used industrial vaccum hose that is heat resistant in 3 inch it wasn't expencive at $39 and has lasted over 12 months now without any dramas .
Purchase was at "The Vaccum House " hope this helps :D
discourage inbreeding , ban country music ! Rover didn't make computers as they just couldn't find a way for them to leak oil .

The Rangie Spares Snorkel is an average fit to say the least but better than nothing IMO. Expect to pay $300 plus hoses anhd fittings etc.

I had a stainless steel snorkel made up for 150 plus hose from pertek at 30 bucks .. all i ned now is the top intake part and all done .. i also cut the horn off the air filter box and enlarged the hole to take a 3 inch steel flange and then just clamped the hose on .. all worked well so far ...
