It'll be a shame to buy all that paint when you're only going to abandon the project a few months down the track!

I'd rather make an mq for alpine challenge so i don't smash the 60, but that would be after i get the 60 goin. As for starting the 60 project im waiting untill i build up some stuff to put on it, so i can get a lot done in one hit but i can't wait untill the 9 inch comes out :D

60's are crap anyway, best cruiser made is a 75 series mate, 60's are a money pit, sell it mate. buy a 75 and you wont have to worry about the paint cause it will look good anyway

money pits? mine prob owes me 10 grand. does alright. stock 75s arent great either. crap approach and departure and just as much work to make em flex. i may be pushing shit uphill but at least its a little different.

Any 4by is a money pit if you want it 2 be. Im going for a 60 because they aren't like gq's (every second person has got one). Are you sure you drive a yota coz you sound like a whingeing pommy Land rover driver no offence.

Thanks for your opinion, but i think your pretty much the only person on the forum who thinks that.

Running Gear on the 60's and 75's are very similar, i actually think the 60's diff's are wider (Possibly stronger).

They shared the same motors, 2H e.t.c.

So.... i'm not sure why you think they are crap, when infact they share alot of parts, and please by all means correct me if i'm wrong.

Dan

Oh and by the way, i think you should paint it either orange with green bumpers, or a camo (say an artic or digital camo)

I am starting to lean towards a flouro orange with elec green, what you's think. As for 75/60 running gear 60's have wider and stronger diff's, same 2h diesel's so cruiser_ 89 if your goin to bag others, make sure you have evidence to back your self up.

so anyhow, did u say your gonna dual cab it or single cab? its a bit tougher to make them look right as a dual cab cause the rear door extends so far back over the rear axle. wit the right tray though..... cant wait to see some pics

P.S.

12HT's are expensive.. although they are awesome motors i've been looking for one and they are as rare as hen's teeth.

I think a LS1 would be the way to go, easy to mod for alot of grunt.

Good pics camo looks awesome if done right, but at the moment i would like to go fluro orange, green etc but might go camo 1 day. What places did you look for 12ht's i've been lookin in the 4x4 traders, for wrecks with 12ht's but it's lookin like they are few and far between. Jason's has a 350 it is AWESOME :D :D :D :D :D    .

any ways fellas, good luck with it.

PAINT

Post by lukes4x4 »

Just get a 4 litre can of whateva paint , get drunk with ya mates then see what happens. maybe just spatter it all over and turn your wipers on to clean the leftover off. one of a kind and everone will know its you. or park it in some dodgy place with some aerosols lined up and let the thugs go crazy. P.S make shore they are over the age of 18 as it now illegal for younger people.
