Few questions about 75s from a Canadian (75s virtually do not exist in NA).
All questions are in regards to a 1985 Hj75 4ltr diesel
Are the diffs axles the same as the 60s or 80s or altogether different? (in respect to width and centre sections)
What motor would this be? 2H with aftermarket turbo or 12H-t? From what I can gather online i am guessing it is a 2H with aftermarket turbo (don't think they came with turbo from factory).
Any idea on diff ratios from factory?
Were there any factory lockers available for these?
Thanks a lot,
Greg

Re: Hj75 info
Gday Greg. The centres are the same as 60 and 40 and 55, and the 80 rear. The 80 ratio is ever so slightly different, the 75 is 4.11/1 the 80 is 4.1/1 (I think). It is debated weather the 80 centre will run fine together with the 75 centre. In answer to that I have been running an 80 rear centre in the back and a 75 centre in the front for over a year with no problems. Yes the 75 does come with a factory locker, but good luck finding one and be prepared to pay just about all your life savings for one.3rides wrote:Few questions about 75s from a Canadian (75s virtually do not exist in NA).

Axles, the 80 axles are both longer so you can count them out. The 40 and I think the 55 are the same length. The 60 short side is the same length but the long side one is longer tha the 75.
Yes it would be a 2H with aftermarket turbo.
Cheers.
Dave.
