GQ fuel tank

Post by chunderlicious »

doing a quarter chop atm and now i have the towbar and everything off ive realised that the fuel tank is a ong way below the chassis. is there anyway without bodylift to move it up? does anyone make a GOOD bashgaurd for it? and has anyone hit it hard enough to need to move it?

hey mate the tanks are mounted to the chassis so body lift wont help it,
ive bashed mine a few times and got some nice dents in the bottom but that was doing some really stupid stuff, so for general 4bing you'll be safe, the first thing to go with the stock tanks are the spot welds around the edge.
kurzo.
cars with alloy bullbars should be shot to the sun.

not a standard tank, an aftermarket is easy. I raised a 145L tank 50mm n welded a 3mm bottom skin on it also, now its higher then the towbar. standard nissan square hitch towbar fitted
