gear box spacers

Gday all just like to no if any one has used gearbox spacers.

I have a 80 series and have lifted it 5" and now have got to do something about the tail shaft angle

I have been told that 10mm will do dose this sound correct??

Dose it get rid of the front tail shaft noise (grinding sound)???

Any info on this would b apprecaited

On the front not sure about that back but you can bye 2 4 5 6 degree correction plates and the will rotate the diff back up to how it was....

My mate has put them in is 80... So they must make them for coil's

castor wedges are for leaf only

-castor correction plates like these will suit 5-7 " lift supiroir make these Image

and for that lift, to rotate your rear diff, you need to get longer trailing arms and adjustable uppers

I have done my caster correction that's not the problem.
It is that the angel that the tail shafts are on due to the gearbox is now higher than the diffs and the front and rear tailshafts are kind of binding up so i need to drop the box

Before you race out and get adjustable stuff.

If I were you I would take off the front tail shaft and go for a drive. I would suggest it is the front tail shaft causing the problems and not the rear.

If it is the front tail shaft, then the gear box packers are not going to correct the angle on the front, they only help for the rear.

Once you have figured out that it is the front causing the probs, the best solution it to get a part time kit so you are just rear wheel drive.

You could also get a double cardin joint for the front tail shaft.

After this you better make sure you do have strong lower control arms because it gets nasty if you brake one. While you are at it it wouldn't hurt to get one made up 5mm longer but I wouldn't go any longer in case you fit bigger tyres because on full compression you could foul on your guards.

You shouldn't need to get adjustable upper control arms until the 6" lift.
