Post up pics here of your half doors for ideas/designs of cutting down or fabbing up some half-doors for your sierra! Also feel free to ad pics of your hinge/locking mechanism!

I made new inner trims too... 25mm high density blue foam covered in vinyl. No handles or winders to get hurt on.

hinge is just standard as it the locking mechanism
I just used expanding foam to fill the gap, sanded it back and then capped it with rubber

Will be building some more when I get a hold of a new zuk...
Standard hinge, and no latch as of yet, but a bolt thru the standard latch hoop worked good enough...

I,ll post mine up when I get them back but very similar to grimbos but capped with steel with lift off hinges (if you do this make the bottom pin longer than the top to make them easier to get on) and Im using the stock inner handle moved down a bit.

i recall reading that because zuk doors dont have any side intrustion protection in them, and most are rego'd as utility vehicles, you can infact have a tube door - so long as the driver cant "fall out" its fine - but you'd likely have to get it approved by an engineer...

Just cause someone does it dosnt make it legal
Im sure (but not 100%) that in nsw if you dont have side intrusion bars you can take your doors of but thats not to say you can make your own. Having said that Ive also read that if you do there has to be an inside and outside handle (but this my have been in comp rules cant remember
)
Im just going to whack mirrors on mine put them on and try my luck, the rest of my rig is engineered and if it comes to it I could just pull em of with the quick release hinges "what modified doors orificer" as its legal with them off
well I,ll try anyway.

If it has external hinges and no side intrusion bars, then aparently you are allowed to run half/tube doors...

This may sound dumb to those that know but do any of these still retain window movement? Or window glass at all?

A frame and plexy sheet were the next step for mine... quick to remove, and still have your visibility in the rain

they're sort of half doors. Basically they just a soft top section instead of a glass window. Not all came this way just the very early ones I believe
