frige wiring

Hi pro093, you need at least 6mm auto cable, both positive and negative to get a decent voltage at the fridge.
The diagram below will give you an idea of how to set it up properly.
The cable in the diagram, run from the battery to the rear is 8B&S (7.9mm2 ) but is designed to run two power sockets at the same time and if you only want one powered socket, the 6mm auto will do the job.

In my experience, 6mm auto cable is not neccesarily large enough.
6mm2 cable is what is minimum.
Auto cable is different in that auto cable is measured as diameter including the plastic coating.
6mm2 is the cross section of actual wire.
Your fridge will be more efficient using 6mm2. Also, 6mm2 may not be enough - it depends on the length of the run between the battery and the fridge.
How long are you running the cable?
When working out the correct size, you need to take into account the length of both the positive and the negative - a common mistake people make when sizing electrical cable.
If you get it wrong and make it too small, you will get voltage drop which will effectively reduce the usable cpacity of your battery significantly.
