1.6 vitara vs 4k corolla
1.6 vitara vs 4k corolla
which motor out of these is the most powerful/gruntiest???
as the 1.6 and 1.3 are almost identical weights as they share the same (using the term loosley here) components like an alloy block etc whereas the 4K is iron blocked so is heavier.
either is not a BAD swap .. but I reckon that the g16 motor is a better swap .. (my 1.6 with some minor tweaks with just 4.16 gears in the T/case and 3.73's in the diffs and 35's will pull me down the road at 100-110 in all but a strong headwind)

The vitara motor also has the advantage of being fairly simple to attach to the existing sierra gearbox (via an adaptor plate - assuming it's a 1.3 now), and can also remain a complete "suzuki" type setup - which makes things a bit easier too (i.e. wiring connections and colours etc)... Basically the engine is close to looking like it was meant to be there.
