setting up my luxs suspension.
just put on a winchbar and my standard suspension seriously needs newness.
been lookin at every lifted hilux on the streets and they all have basically vertical shackles.
mines a daily driver and its not gonna do any hardcore comps so i dont want extended shackles or anything noticable but i dont mind walking the grey line of the law.
so my question is to you all,
who makes a decent leaf spring for a hilux that gives me the correct shackle with standard shackles. i only want to go 2 inches. i dont mind paying for quality.
yes i searched

dont be scared to mix and match leaves. keep your stockers for spare parts if the ride or the hight isnt exactly what you are after. shocks play a big part in how harsh the ride is. a flexy suspension can still give a choppy ride if the shocks are valved too stiff. adjustable shocks like the ranchos, seem to have a fair bit of adjustability that actually works. hope that helps.best of luck.
seems like none of the leaf spring manufacturers make a leaf that actually gives a shackle angle more than about 10 degrees.
i think the manufacturers have decided that they would rather their leaves last longer (less angle means less movement of the actual leaf aparently(one reason given by unnamed supplier of springs))
going short of getting custom springs made and/or moving the hangers ive just gone with the best i can afford.... *potential flaming suit on*..... dakars. they come friday. just intime for fraser island.
what bumpstop clearance is standard on a hilux? mines down to able 30mm at the front.
