Other than that they are are a normal door
Is spot on.. removing the 'weather strip' on the top part will give acsess to the innards of the door..how little there is of it..
basically I think holden payed an apprentice $5. a week to cut the frame off the door, gave him a length or 1/2inch tubing and was told to go hack... they certainly arnt the prettiest of door mod jobs..
real PITA finding a safe spot to park... although im yet to lock my keys in
Phantom.. do you need a rear hoop!???

Nope, they were a suzuki made item. 1.0's were also available in Japan with full canvas doors like an LJ 50.

Dunno, never owned any and the ones I have seen tended to have stuffed zips anyway.

just thought id mention that they dont have to nessecarily be "your" half doors, any cool/useful pics you find that could be helpful/motivating.
Tube doors work too!
So the only real benifit with drover doors is the weight saving, lame. I like the tube doors above but with canvas instead of checker plate to stop the splashes.

i think perspex is a good idea for the toob doors, keeps splash out but still gives good vision............my 2c
MADZUKI wrote:Only thing with the tube door idea, is anything that can make it thru the door.. IE, sticks and what not... Could end up quite painfull in a flop.
So expanding on the perspex idea and using lexan would be the go
this is how I have done mine, not finished though. trimmed the stock latch to get them this low to match the lines of the tintop. And Im usin the stock lock-knob to open the doors
And I will make some upper halvs for them, kinda simular to those holden half doors

It can be done with no welding - you'll need a grinder to cut the door down, and some way of finishing the top off, which could be riveted, screwed, or whatever in place.
It all depends on how nicely you want to finish them off.
