Question for some of you downunder...

Post by dieselcruiserhead »

Hi all,
Question for those of you blessed to have 70 series rampant in your country. Also hot on the FJ55 topic. Has anyone ever put a 70 series snorkel on a 55 series? Or, is there a snorkel available for a 55 that I could maybe have BJ on Roids ship over for me ;) They look similar enough, I'm sure there are some differences, I was going to buy a 70 series Safari Snorkel (I believe the only one commercially available here in the states) and have it modifed by taking it to the plastic welder... Thoughts?

G'Day mate

So you feel at home here's a Pirate welcome for ya :finger: :D

I can't answer you question :D but Safari will. They have them for the 40's and 60's according to this page and probably have had this question before.

Shoot them an email.

they do have similar lines at the front.....

just get some exhaust tube bent up for cheap, and whack the top on it. It would not have been done due to the fact that the safari snorkels run around the $400 mark i think and most 55s are not that expensive.

Let me know if you come up wth something. Shipping via post is the ONLY way.
hands and mums dont count!!!
