110 wagon into d/c
Moderator: Micka
110 wagon into d/c
any one turned a 110 wagon into a duel cab if so what is needed and how much and where from .i want to keep it as a stylesyd not a complete chop
yeh mate I did mine just got a series 3 ute rear window panel
& roof.. The panel bolts on, then you need to make an infill panel
behind the rear seat between the wheel arches, pritty easy..
The roof is harder if you carnt get a 130 dual cab roof..
I cut from the back of the series roof about 400mm, bolted that
on to the window section then, cut, trimmed & bent the county roof
till it mated with the series roof.. then lots of rivets & sicaflex.
It came out ok, cheaper than the 3k they want for a 130 roof..
good luck
Jeff

dual cab
Yeah Jbell beat me to this one Once I get some time I'm going to turn my defender ute into an extra cab and use a 130 roof and cut it to suit . Outlaw on this forum turned his 200 tdi into an dual cab there used to be a guy in brisbane that had a kit made for it I think the roof is fibre glass I saw in the 2007 defender brochure a 110 dual cab which is for the uk would be good If they brought them here you would then be able to buy the body panels for large $$$
defender 110,4.6,auto,36simex,maxidrive everything. "JEEP" your right, I dont understand????
Yep i had mine done.... went for a wagon flat back, don't like the curve of the normal curved rear cab... chop the back... slide it up and rivet and join, make your infill panel and away.
Saw another one here on the coast last week who's done the same thing as me but by using chequer plate to replace the rear door and infill as one panel.
I also put a drop down series 3 tailgate on... everything matches perfectly including all mounting points, capping etc.

Yep - I'm doing mine the same way over the Christmas break. I prefer the flat back and am chasing a series 3 tailgate, hinges and latches (anyone??). I intend to take the Alpine windows out also.outlaw wrote:Yep i had mine done.... went for a wagon flat back, don't like the curve of the normal curved rear cab... chop the back... slide it up and rivet and join, make your infill panel and away.

Can you post some pictures of your conversion Outlaw?? Would be interested to see if I'm on the right track.
Thanks
