EFS Shocks

Hey all,

Im doing a 4 inch lift on my gu patrol ute in 2 weeks time and after price hunting every where i came across a kit with everything i need for about a $1000 less .

The question is, has anyone used the EFS range of long travel shock's and springs ?

The rear is leaf sprung so they are going to be a repacked custom jobbie, but the front springs and shocks all round are EFS.

Im not after comp style flex and handling but as far as bang for buck go they seem pretty good.

Any opinions or comments about this gear would be greatly appreciated before i hand over the coin.

Once the lifts done, the 35''s are on and the custom tray is finished i think its almost worthy to post some pics up!

I run EFS 4" lift, have sagged unevenly in 6mths (25mm difference front l/r) so would not use them again.

I have mates who had tough dog kits and a similar thing happened to them too. One went to king springs, i think and found they were better.

you will hear this about nearly every brand of shock/spring.. theres 10,000+ members here, they all probably know 2-5 people each that wheel, so chances are....

i use EFS springs and shocks - A1

Be careful with the rear shocks because in my catalogue EFS don't have a 4" lift shock to suit the rear of a Leaf sprung Patrol. I could be wrong.

Even on a coil sprung vehicle you would be missing out on available suspension travel. EFS extreme is another story but they aren't going to suit a leaf sprung vehicle.
(There are lots of different coils available so my comments are general.)

The shocks themselves work well.
