Seat upgrade for my Middy

Post by PTW »

Hi there

I'll be looking at upgrading the seats in my Middy when I get home and was after peoples thoughts on what they have. My mate that I bought it off said the next investment he would have made would have been some Recaro's. For the record I'm 5'10" @ 80kg with my wife around the 50kg mark and 5'6". We are used to hugging seats having some in our WRXSTi and would like to go the same way.

Or has anyone picked up some goods ones from a wrecker on a luxury model of some make/brand etc ?

ps Does the vehicle require a mod plate to make them legal in Queensland ?

Toyota Surf seats are really comfortable and can be picked up at most 4by wreckers for around $300 a pair. I think they may be made by Recaro and are adjustable for lumbar etc.

Thanks guys. The Middy has a suspension setup that the seats go on. Going to check a 4x4 wrecker on the GC when I get back.
