I am having troubles when starting my roza any time the engine has cooled down. It idles very low for about ten seconds then slowly comes up to about 1000rpm, it has actually stalled a few times aswell. There is no probs if the engine is allready warm.

I had a faulty oxy sensor so that was replaced, this did not change cold starts but improved economy heaps.

The diagnosis point looks different to the one in the manual so i am not to keen to go fiddling around with that. Does anyone with a F310 know which pins to short out for diagnosis?

I have been through the FAQ and found the thread on this subject but with photos of the diagnostics plug missing. :?
Tried testing my throttle position sensor it seems to work for the idle part of the switch if i let the accelerator spring pull the throttle back into position but if i release it slowly the sensor does not activate the idle signal. So i guess it is either out of adjustment or just buggered.
I have been trying to source a new Bosch replacement one using this thread from WARFS

The part numbers don't seem to match Bosch parts :?
Has anybody replaced thier throttle position sensor?
Do ferozas have a cold start injector?

It might be worth checking if the air bypass valve in your throttle body is operating (opening when cold).

Check the basics first. Stuff like ignition timing (eg. is your vacuum advance working?) could also affect it.

Feroza's don't have a cold start injector.
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

I'd even start with the lesser and say check the battery. Even if you just get someone to give you a jump start whilst your Feroza is cold. Crook batteries can make EFI vehicles do all kinds of wierd stuff.

Mine had a noticable flat spot when taking off from stopped. New battery fixed that and she runs better from cold now too.

Any idea of how to check the EFI error code? A friend here has the same blue plug box and we dont know which pins to ground.

I had the same problem in the VL Turbo.....changed plugs and leads and it fixed the problem...

No not yet have no idea what pins to short out for the test. All the workshop manuals i have seen only have the simple 6 pin version of the diagnostic box.

Just an idea but its a risk if that will work. If you take a closer look you will see that most of the holes have no pins inside. Since teh normalo plug has 6 holes i believe that you must wire up this two holes from the picture.

I believe than a car electrician can figure out which holes to use with some measurements and tests without harming the car.
