Water leaks

Post by MPRZIV »

Well i have no idea where its coming from but with the heavy rain last night and this morning. My car has turned into a mobile pool. Its a gq LWB any specific points i should be looking at to try find the problem. The front passenger floor under the carpet is wet. Also in the back behind the rear rear seats. Just wondering if anyones else's leaks what should i do. Was going to strip the whole car out seats and carpet and stuff is this the best best way to locate problem or not?

Check your door seals, they also leak around the bottom of the pillars beside the windscren, or if you have a snorkel through the snorkel mounts. You may have a cracked floor pan aswell which you will need to get welded up.

i'd say the drainage in under the grill in front of the wind screen is blocked up ... clean it out before it rusts out ...

After all that rain my shorty is leaking aswell.
Must be coming in near the foot pedals. The water has flowed along the drivers side of the car to behind the rear seat.
The sills were also full of water and were sloshing around under braking and acceleration.
The grill directly in front of my windscreen is clear of debris though.
I thought it may have been a leaking floor pan but there is no visible crack between the floor pan and the firewall.
It seems under left hand turns the front right side of the car is making a knocking sound too.
