wet for a cruize in mates GU 4.2 diesel (garret turbo installed aftermarket) and... man these things must have been lemons straight out of the factory with no turbos, even with the garrett, i found it extremely low on power.. kinda made me happy ive still got my lil MQ.

Did you manage to ignore the big wads of torque they have pretty much from idle? :P

Probably hasnt been tuned properly. I'm finding theres very few workshops who can properly adjust these rotary distributor type injector pumps (you do need specific equipment and a fair bit of experience with the motor)

iam not saying it was gutless like a wet blanket, its just that for a car about 10 years younger than mine, it was all very, very unimpressive...

The motor is a 20yr old design.

Tell him to get it tuned properly. It should have gone like a shower of sh*t compared to the old SD33 I'm afraid to say.
