Post by ShinyDiscoBalls »

Howdy all,

For those of you in or near Sydney, I was thinking of doing a day trip to Jenolan State Forest on the 20th December 2003 to take the edge off during the silly season.

All those of you who are keen PM me you email address so we can comunicate directly and get arrangements under way.

Well people, I must say I'm a little disappointed with the response to a day trip to Jenolan State Forest.

It's no fun having these rigs, spending hours upon hours fixing and improving them if we don't actually take them out and give them a good thrashing  once in a while so we can have something else to fix and a few stories to tell.

So far only Croz and Dave Fogwill (yet to confirm) have shown any interest and I have a mate of mine who is also coming in his Jeep Wrangler.

Cmon Sydney folk... let's hit the dirk like the pack of mongrels we are!!!!!

How long will it take us to get to janolen??? I saw your photos AJ, looks like some fun if it has been a bit wet!

Looking forward to the trip, I have got the day off work so I should be able to make it.

 I'd come but it's a bit far to drive over for the day....

I might have my very own Adelaide outing and I can drive over kerbs in the local shopping centre carparks....... cause that's about all the 4WDing you'll find over here!

Are there any other Adelaide Feroza owners lurking around???

I dont think many photos were taken due to our camera man retiring early, due to truck issues.

It would be great to catch up with some of the older and ex Daihatsu owners. Heath Lees, Mark Hoult, Gill, AJ, where are you guys. :?

Just a thought. :D

Well yeah, I retired aftr just one hour of driving. Funny thing is the truck was going ok until we got back to the picnic area to hook up with Emma when suddenly te truck stalled and when I restarted it sounded like there were 16 cats stuck in the gearbox.

I didn't take any photos sorry guys. Will be getting my mechanic to check it out today but looks like clutch bearing has gone bye bye.

Short lived but will try to get it ready for when Leon is back in Sydney and make up for it.

Rod,
Still about, still have my Rocky though I am going to sell it, too hard to source parts here in the boonies, besides I need a ute for that big dog of mine and my horse. If you're inclined to drive west and south for like Seven hours, you should come visit...I am on the way to the high country...in a way.
Cheers,
Heath
