flat spot, not revving TB42e

Post by GQ Bear »

g'day, i've had probs for a while now. Recently had crank angle sensor replaced and dissy thoroughly cleaned.

Runs beautiful on gas but on petrol it revs hard out of gear from idle with a slight miss but when driving it flat spots big time. Especially 3rd gear and above it won't rev harder than 3grand and therefore quite sluggish to drive.

When cas was buggered it backfired pretty badly a few times so i'm kinda suspecting airflow meter may have copped a hammering. Mechanic at Nissan reckoned Throttle Position Sensor has been adjusted at some stage too, could this be relevant?

Any suggestions? Is there any way to test airflow meter?

Thanks

Mine had similar problems when the fuel pump went.

I think they are meant to run 40psi and mine was running around 31psi and that was enough to make it run like crap. Runs good now but still a small flat spot.
