Vitara chassis number needed

Post by zooker »

Im in the process of fitting a vitara engine in my sierra and need a few parts however the Suzuki dealer needs a vitara chassis number to order the parts.

So i was hoping someone might be able to help me out and PM me the chassis number for an early 90's Vitara Estate Wagon which came with the G16B MPFI engine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Geoff

Have a look on www.redbook.com.au as they list most of the chassis number for each model vehicle. You'll just need to make up the last couple of digits. It might be of use if nobody else can help.

Otherwise go to a car yard.... ;)

Why does he need the chassis number? If it's just like the HSV exclusivity thing tell him to go fuck himself and find another dealer. If it's for a reference point to make sure you get the right parts then make bloody sure you get the chassis number off a model exactly like your donors car. Even try and get the build month if possible.

Suzuki dont want to know you unless you have a chassis number , they are monkeys that punch this into their computer to get the right parts first time.

Now you see if everyone just used the same user name on all forums then the world would be a much better place :D

yep they need the chassis number to get the right parts, all im looking for is a set of headbolts for a G16B engine though, i doubt suzuki would have changed the headbolts over the years
